Ø     Important note to all parents: As part of our Safe Church policy, a Medical Release & Permission Form must be completed and on file for all children involved in any program/ministry here. Forms are available at the table in the lobby and have also been put in mailboxes. Only one form is needed per family. Please return completed forms by Sept. 12.  There is a specially marked box in the church office to return the forms. The office is open Tues., Wed., and Thurs. from 9-4. Questions? Ø     1st -3rd grade Church School Teachers, meet 7 PM Wed., Sept. 8, in the triple room to receive materials and information about the year. Can’t make it? Please contact Kristina at 895-5946 or kmoelker@gmail.com.

Ø     Cookies are needed for the students who attend the Campus Ministries church service on Sun., Sept. 12.  If you’d be willing to bake cookies for this, please call Mary Espinoza at 895-5251.  The students really enjoy the cookie fellowship after church just like we do. Thank you!

Ø     Cadet Campout: Sept. 10 & 11. Plan to leave church at 6 PM on Fri. to camp just across the bridge on 68th Ave. The boys will be home on Sat. between noon and 1 PM.

Ø     Council is looking for input as they prepare to begin the budgeting process for the next fiscal year. They are especially seeking input from ministry representatives to explore options in light of the Economic Recession. An important meeting is scheduled for Mon., Sept. 13, at 7 PM. Budget shortfalls and challenges will be discussed. Questions? Contact Curt Gulker.

Ø     The Prime Timers (those 55+ years) are planning an Ice Cream Social for the evening of Sept. 14. Mark your calendars and watch your mailbox or the Sept. 12 bulletin for details.

Ø     Attention all Middle School Kids! Our first meeting will be Wed., Sept. 15, from 6:30-8:00 PM at church. PARENTS are welcome to come the first 15 minutes for an informational meeting. This month’s theme: "What's in a Name?" We’ll learn the importance of names as we try to "name" our new group. Kids, bring your ideas on what to call this new Middle School Ministry. All 6th – 8th graders are welcome to come even if you plan to participate in GEMS, Cadets or CIT. Come when you can!!  We will be meeting every week.  Invite your friends!!

Ø     Share your bounty on the Harvest Table! Take what you can use.  

Ø     Today is the deadline to sign up for Faith Friends program  that starts Sept. 13.  It matches young people seeking to make a commitment to Christ with mature Christians. If Jesus is prompting you to commit publicly to Him, check out the Faith Friends mailbox for forms to sign up (2nd row up, 2nd to last box).

Ø     All Church Picnic & Pig Roast: Sat., Sept. 11 at 5:00 p.m.

Ø     The current loan balance on our facilities is about $589,000. A special offering will be received Sept. 19 in which the money collected will be matched up to the amount indicated by the donor and the total amount will be used to make a payment on the loan. Prayerfully consider what you can contribute. The final date in which the matching funds offer will be valid is Sept. 26.  Remember to clearly mark your gifts intended for this project “Building Principle Reduction.”

Ø     Next Sunday morning the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated.

Ø     All Church Volunteers: A new season for our children is about to begin. If you haven’t yet attended a Safe Church Meeting for your training, you need to attend one of the two meetings to be held at 7:00 PM on Wed., Sept. 8, and Tues., Sept 21. Questions?
