Ø     The Mission/Faith Promise Committee still needs people Interested in missions. Help raise awareness and support for mission opportunities both far and near. Call Maria Knoppers at 662-3969 to volunteer or for details. 

Ø     Prayer Intercessors meets this Wed. at church at 10 AM. All prayers and prayer requests are welcome.

Ø     The Prime Timers (those 55+ years) are planning an Ice Cream Social for the evening of Sept. 14. Please mark your calendars and watch your mailbox or the Sept. 12 bulletin for details.

Ø     All Church Care Group Picnic & Pig Roast:  Sept. 11, 5-8 PM

Ø     Soon a new season of Beautiful Womanhood will begin. It is a Christian marriage mentoring program designed to strengthen marriages and build community among women (newly married through women in their 30’s). Ø     Have you registered your child for Church School?! Forms are on the Information Desk. ALL kids in grades 1^st-12^th need to have one filled out. Looking forward to seeing all of your children again on Sept. 12!

Ø     Sept. 13 the next Faith Friends program will start! It’s designed to match young people seeking to make a commitment to Christ with mature Christians; to provide a bond between a young person and a significant adult. Is Jesus your Savior? Has He been nudging you to commit to Him in a public way? Interested? Sign up soon. Need more information? Pick up a green sheet in the Faith Friends Mailbox (2^nd row from bottom, 2^nd box from right).

Ø     GEMS is looking for someone interested in coordinating fundraisers. Attendance at all GEMS meetings not required. In the past we’ve had two fundraisers: one to help our sister clubs in Africa and one to help cover our club’s expenses. Ø     Girls, 7^th grade or older, would you like to be a CIT (Counselor in Training) this GEMS season? Reference sheets (to be completed by a non-relative) and applications are at the Information Desk. Return all forms to Rachael Taylor by Aug. 30. Ø     All Church Volunteers: An exciting new season for our children is about to begin. If you have not yet attended a Safe Church Meeting for your training, you need to attend one of the two meetings Pastor Harold and Lorie DeYoung will be holding at 7:00 PM on Wed., Sept. 8, and Tues., Sept 21. Ø     Information about Seed Money and the Building Principle Reduction Match, two challenges taking place to reduce debt on our facilities, are available at the Information Desk. These projects will remain open until Oct. 1.
