Ø     Children’s Worship is looking for helpers, 8^th graders to adult, for the coming season. If you are interested, please meet with Sue Brown by the organ after today’s morning service.

Ø     Church School is having a meeting in the triple room today after the morning service for anyone interested in planning, curriculum, teaching or just information. Come one, come all! Ø     Kids Hope USA Backpack & School Supply Drive: August 1-15. Please bring your donations to the Kids Hope USA corner in the lobby. Items needed in addition to school-sized backpacks: plain colored pocket folders, lunch containers, glue sticks (Ross or Elmer's), Crayola washable markers – 8 pk., Crayola crayons – 16 pk. & 24 pk, # 2 pencils, large pink erasers and medium sized plastic school pencil boxes. We will give these to some of our Kids Hope USA children who are in need of these items. Thank you for your support! Questions? Call Aileen at 204-3540.

Ø     Prayer Intercessors meet this Wed. at 10:00 AM at church. Everyone is invited to join in an hour of prayer. All prayer needs welcomed.

Ø     New members are needed on the Mission Committee. It is involved in the support of local and international missionaries, organizing Faith Promise offerings, mission trips, and supporting other mission opportunities. If you’re interested in missions or have questions about joining this committee, please call Maria Knoppers at 662-3969.

Ø     Details about Seed Money and the Building Principle Reduction Match, two challenges taking place to reduce debt on our facilities, are available at the Information Desk. These projects will remain open until October 1.

Ø     The deadline for bulletin announcements usually 3 p.m. on Wednesdays. For the Aug. 29 bulletin, please have all announcements in by noon on Tues., August 24. Thank you!

Ø     Kids Hope USA has three children that need new mentors this coming school year. Two of them are a one year commitment and the other is longer. Their mentors are leaving because of going off to college and career changes. Additional mentors are needed for other at-risk children. It is a one–on-one commitment for one hour a week at Allendale Public School and there are some special events throughout the year. Required training will take place in Sept.
