Ø The Mission Committee is involved in the support of local and international missionaries, organizing Faith Promise offerings, mission trips, and supporting other mission opportunities. If you’re interested in missions or have questions about joining this committee, please call Maria Knoppers at 662-3969.
Ø Everyone is invited to an Ice Cream Social today, 4-7 PM, in the Township Park. Bring a lawn chair, stay to enjoy music by Altar*D Life. The event is hosted by the Lighthouse Community Church Mission Team planning to minister at Dorie’s Promise Orphanage in Guatemala in August. Trisha Kraker is part of the group going there. Free-will donations will be received towards supplies and relief needs for the orphanage. In case of rain, the Social will be held in Lighthouse Community Church.

Ø Beautiful Womanhood is a Christian marriage mentoring pro-gram designed to strengthen marriages and build community among women. Beautiful Womanhood dinners are held once a month for one year using the Titus 2 concept: older women teaching younger women. Do you want to have incredible influence in your marriage and home? Do you want to discover God’s heart for women? Join us this Sept. for a new season of Beautiful Womanhood with women from our church. The first 12 women to call (newly married through those in their 30’s) will be accepted. Ø The Faith Friends program is designed to match young people seeking to make a commitment to Christ with mature Christians. It seeks to provide a bond between a young person and a significant adult. Is Jesus your Savior? Has He been nudging you to commit to Him in a public way? Interested? Sign up for the next program which will begin Sept. 13. Need more information? Pick up a green sheet in the Faith Friends Mailbox (second row from bottom, second box from right).

Ø Kids Hope USA has three children that need new mentors this coming school year. Two of them are a one year commitment and the other is longer. Their mentors are leaving because of going off to college and career changes. Additional mentors are needed for other at-risk children. It is a one–on-one commitment for one hour a week at Allendale Public School and there are some special events throughout the year. Required training will take place in Sept.
