Ø     This morning God’s faithfulness will be celebrated as Karissa Rae Moelker, infant daughter of Nick & Kristina will be baptized.  Tonight, the Men of Grace will share their musical talents during the service. Belly Roldan Wood, one of our Faith Promise Missionaries, will be with us next Sunday to give an update on work in Ecuador. 

Ø     At the 11:15 am Congregational Meeting today, a new online directory will be demonstrated, the proposed budget will be voted on, and some new Council members will be selected. Absentee ballots are available at the Information Desk and should be returned in a sealed envelope that is signed.

Ø     Building Fund Debt Reduction Campaign: Today “seed money” will be available for you to “invest” using your talents, imaginations and entrepreneurial skills. Trust God for growth. The new amounts will be collected on July 18. If you have any questions on this, please contact Ron Borst (895-5220.

Ø     There is still time to order a hanging basket for the Mothers’ Day Garden display here on May 9. Forms to order the flowers are available at the Information Desk. Orders are due today.

Ø     The Growth Team is excited to announce a new chair person to the Worship Planning Team - Tara Bosch.  Tara and the Team are going to plan and implement the worship services that glorify God and enrich our lives.  If you see her around, please thank her for what the Team is doing.  Also, please pray that God will be praised through their planning. 

Ø     Do you have a prayer request? Check out the new Prayer Note Request forms on the Information Desk. Please use them so that your information can be handled more effectively.

Ø     National Day of Prayer, Thurs., May 6, will be observed here from 7 - 8 pm. Come gather in the Triple Room for a time of prayers for our church, community and nation interspersed with singing beautiful, old hymns - many hymns are prayers set to music. 

Ø     The Coffee Break/Story Hour Ministry has just completed its 31^st year here in Allendale. As we anticipate starting our 32^nd year in the fall, we are in need of nursery helpers and children’s leaders. If God is calling you to be used in this ministry, please call Sarah Weaver at 389-7521 or Carol Gulker at 895-6321.

Requested Announcements

Ø     Allendale Christian School's 2009-2010 Loyalty Drive is currently taking place. It’s a way for supporters to help reduce tuition for EVERY family at ACS. This year’s goal of $40,000 equates to tuition savings for each student of almost $200.  Please prayfully consider a donation. For more information, call ACS at 895-5108.

Ø     Paper Drive: Newspapers and phonebooks will be collected May 7&8 at Allendale Christian School in their parking lot. Thank you for your continued support. 

Ø     The next rehearsal for the UCHS Community Male Chorus will be May 10 in Rm. 31 at Unity, 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Performance date: May 24. Rehearsals have begun, but new members (7^th grade and older) are welcome!   

Ø     Tickets for Unity Christian High School’s first Spring Musical, Into the Woods Jr., are available from the school office (669-1820).  Details: May 6 & 7, at Evergreen Ministries in Hudsonville at 7 pm. A dessert buffet by donation will take place after the musical.

Ø     Allendale Christian School is staffing a home during the Spring Parade of Homes.  Volunteers may choose to sit with a friend, but no children under 8 years old please. Here are times help is needed: Fri., May 28 (1-9pm), Sat., May 29 (1-9pm), Mon., Memorial Day, May 31 (1-9pm), Fri., June 4 (6-9pm), Sat., June 5 (1-9pm), Wed., June 9 (1-9pm), Fri., June 11 (6-9pm), Sat., June 12 (1-9pm), 1-9pm times may be split into shifts to fit your availability.
