Ø All children in grades 1-5 will meet during church for the Christmas stations today, Dec 6, and Dec. 13. The 4/5th grade class will not meet after church on those dates. The 9th-12th grade Church School class will meet in Room 123 the rest of the year.
Ø Our church has been asked to provide cookies for the students who attend church at GVSU on Dec. 13. If you would be willing to help bake, please call Mary Espinoza at 895-5251.
Ø Financial Peace classes by Dave Ramsey will be held here for 13 weeks starting Mon., Jan. 11 at 6:45 pm. Please register soon so materials can be ordered. For details or to register, go to www.daveramsey.com or call Curt Gulker at 892-4868.
Ø Did you forget? You still have time to order those homemade baked goods from the Coffee Break Ladies. Place your orders, with payment, in the marked bag on the Information Desk. Ø Our Kids HOPE USA Christmas Dinner is planned for Wed., Dec 9. Christmas Boxes will be given to the families of our twenty KHUSA children and your help is needed. Please take a candy cane tag off of the candy cane tree in the lobby and bring items back to the tree by Sun., Dec. 6. Samples tags: body wash, shampoo, band-aids, lotion, toothpaste, colored pencils, crayola markers, pudding snack packs, boxes of individual packets of hot chocolate mix, hand sanitizer, cough drops, $10 gift certificates to Family Fare & Save-A-Lot, packaged cookies, and Christmas candy. Ø Grocery shower: Brad Smits & Rylee Laizure will be wed on Dec. 5. There’s a basket in the lobby to collect items for them. Thank you!
Ø A Christmas Worship Service will be held on Christmas Eve (December 24) at 6:30 pm instead of on Christmas morning.
Ø Nursery is needed for our Christmas Eve service. If you are willing to volunteer and help out that evening, please contact Jen Konyndyk as soon as possible at 895-4884. Thanks much for your willingness to serve!
Ø A Community Men’s Bible study will begin Sat., Dec. 5, at 7:30 am and will be studying a book of the Bible (to be determined) along with a study guide. Location: the Allendale Christian School. Ø For anyone who has ever been involved with Kids Hope USA here, Sue Brown will once again be sending Christmas Cards to all the KHUSA children who have been in our ministry for the past 9 years. We still have many of their addresses. If you’d like to put a personal note in those cards to someone you are presently mentoring or did mentor in the past, please put the note in Sue’s church mailbox no later then Sun., Dec. 6. Ø Rehearsal for the Allendale Community Choir will be 2-4 pm today at First Allendale CRC. The Choir will be performing “Confort and Joy” on Fri.., Dec. 4, at 7 pm at First CRC of Allendale. There will also be a repeat performance at 10 am on Sun., Dec. 6, at the Fine Arts Auditorium at the Allendale High School.
Ø Allendale Nursing Home, 11007 Radcliff, is inviting you to share our Savior’s love with its residents. Volunteers are welcome to come and spend time playing games, talking, reading, doing puzzles, etc.; especially on holidays when some residents might have any visitors. Questions?
