Bulletin Board

Ø  This morning God’s faithfulness is celebrated with the baptism of Aeris Renee, infant daughter of Jeff & Melissa Ensing. Welcome to this new family! Information to add to your directory: 11139 – 56th Ave., Allendale; phone: 895-4713.

Ø  There will be no Church School for all grades next week, Nov. 8 as we will celebrate with our youth as they make Professions of Faith. Parents, please use this time to talk to your child about what this day means for these young individuals. Church School will resume on Nov. 15. Children’s Worship will not take place next Sunday morning also.

Ø  Women, come gather in prayer at church on the first Monday each month to pray for the congregation. Come tomorrow at 9 am.

Ø  New Mission Project: We would like to maintain contact with our 30 and under aged adults who are either in college, in the military, or have jobs and are living at home or elsewhere. So often we lose contact with these church members and we want them to know that we haven't forgotten them. Please look at the bulletin board in the back of church for more information on how you can be a part of this important ministry! If you haven't given me an address for a family member that qualifies please do so as soon as possible. Thanks for your support, Deb Bosch

Ø  The church is in need of TV’s, VCR’s and DVD players. Please call Ron Borst at 895-5220 if you have any questions.

Ø  God blessed our Kids Hope USA Day of Horses with a perfect day on Oct. 18. The children, their families, mentors and prayer partners had a great day of learning about horses, riding them and just being outside together. Thank you to everyone who helped; we couldn’t have done it without you! There were lots of happy faces and we were able to connect with some of parents and siblings as well as having a special day for the children. Thank you! Aileen VanderSchuur, Kids Hope USA Director

Ø  Grocery Shower: A basket for Alicia Borst and Mark VanderVeen  is in the lobby through this week. Thank you for supporting this soon to be married couple. The congregation is invited to witness the marriage ceremony of Alicia & Mark on Saturday, November 7 at 4:00 pm in our church.

Ø   How often are we provided a unique opportunity to “Pass It On” or to share the qualities that make each of us so special?
How would you like to be remembered in life? Being a Kids Hope USA mentor is one way a person can see what they gave back to a child in Allendale. What qualities do you possess that might be useful to a young person growing up today? We’ve all made choices in our youth that we would not necessarily make today. Mentoring is one way to pass your wisdom along to others. It’s like being a kid again – a great excuse to play games and have fun! Interested, Contact Aileen VanderSchuur at aileenv@altelco.net or 616 204-3540 to find out how you can become a KHUSA mentor or substitute mentor.
