Bulletin for January 11, 2009 |

Ø “Because we have not been able to visit with as many of you as we would like during the last few months, we are holding an Open House on Jan. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fuller Ave. CRC, 1239 Fuller Ave. SE, GR. A light lunch will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there. “ – Pastors Zach & Sharon Segaar-King
Ø The GEMS are learning about recycling and they are collecting pop cans with refund money to be used for buying GEMS supplies. Please place your empty cans in the large green trash can in the triple room. Recycle your used greeting cards for a craft planned in Feb. Put them in the marked box under the mailboxes. Thanks!
Ø Reminder: Church service cancellations due to weather conditions will be shared via WOOD-TV and WZZM-TV.
Ø Budget/Giving Envelope notes:
o Thank you for your year-end generosity!
o Please destroy old envelopes numbered 499 or less, use only the new envelopes numbered 500 or more.
o When using the “other” column, write in where you intend your money to be given; all unmarked gifts will be put into the General Fund.
Ø Please volunteer to bring supper to our Youth Group kids. There is a sign-up sheet on the Info. Desk. Yes, they’re always hungry.
Ø Kids Hope USA still needs at least 3 mentors, both men and women, for this school year. Wouldn’t you like to make an eternal difference in the life of a child? Help shape the character of young children in our community. Children ask me each week if there is someone for them; they need to be loved. The teachers are asking for our help also. Please contact Aileen VanderSchuur, Kids Hope USA Director, in person or call 616- 204-3540 this week. Training will be provided. It is a one hour commitment each week during school hours. Now is a great time to get your feet wet as there is only 1/2 a school year left. Must be 16, be able to drive, and love children.
Reminder to Kids Hope USA mentors that there is no school on Friday, Jan. 16Prayer List
