Ø    Cookies are needed once again for the students at GVSU after their worship service on Nov. 23. Please call Mary Espinoza at 895-5251 if you would be willing to help out by baking some. Thank you.

Ø   The next Safe Church Meeting will be tomorrow night, the 10th, at 7 p.m. If you have not yet attended and serve in ministry, plan to attend.

Ø    Our Kids Hope USA ministry would like to give gift boxes to the KHUSA families at the Christmas Dinner here on Dec. 4 and you can help make this happen. Please take an ornament off the Christmas tree in the lobby, purchase the item, bring it to church and put it in the gift box by the tree no later then Nov. 30. Thank You for your generosity! Call Aileen VanderSchuur at 204-3540 if you have questions about KHUSA and/or this project.

Ø    Just Between takes place during morning worship services for 2½ - 3 yrs olds. Adults and young people (10 yrs. +) are needed to help these children learn about God in ways they learn best and to enjoy time with them. Materials are available. Please contact Lorie DeYoung at lady@altelco.net or 895-7649 very soon to help.

Ø    Unity Christian High School will present the musical, Guys and Dolls, Nov. 20 - 22 in Zeeland East High School’s DeWitt Auditorium. All performances are at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be available starting Nov. 12 at Unity’s office between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. or call 669-1820.

Ø    Come be a part of the Allendale Community Christmas Musical! All ages welcome! Performances: Dec. 6 & 7. Choir rehearsals are held here at Second CRC at 4 p.m. each Sunday in the triple room. Ø    The Grand Valley Students for Life are planning a Soup Supper for Fri., Nov. 21, at 6:30 at Allendale Christian School. Ø    Cornerstone University Theatre Department invites you the performance of “The Diary of Anne Frank” at GR Theological Seminary, 3000 Leonard NE. Dates: Nov. 14, 15, 20-22 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 23 at 2:30 p.m. For tickets, call 254-1663.

Ø    Will you host an international guest in your home Saturday night Jan. 31, bring them to church on Sun., Feb. 1, and then take them to the airport later on Feb. 1? 150 international guests are expected to attend the Worship Symposium at Calvin College from Jan. 29-31 and homes are needed. Ø    North Blendon CRC will hold a Holiday Craft Show on Dec. 6, from 9 am to 2 pm. All proceeds will go to benefit Kyle Hassevoort, A NBCRC teen confined to a wheelchair, and also to help Horse Play, a horse therapy program funded by donations only.  NBCRC is raising funds to add a handicap accessible bedroom and bathroom on to Kyle’s home. November is Adoption Awareness Month.  Come meet staff from All God’s Children International on Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. at Providence CRC, 7730 Eastern Ave. SE, and discuss ways you and your family can touch an orphan’s life through international adoption or orphan care ministry. For Your Information:

Ø    Nursery for infants and toddlers is available during both services. Partway into each morning service young children are invited to “Just Between” (for 2 ½ - 3 year olds) in room 122 or “Children’s Worship” (for 3-5 year olds) which meets in rooms 127 & 129.   

Ø    Sermons: Outlines, if used, are available on the carts in the back of the auditorium. Bibles are there also. Previous week’s sermons can be obtained at the Information Desk in CD format or can be accessed at the church website: www.2ndcrc-allendale.org Click Here to go to the Sermon page.

Ø    For those with special needs: The entire facility is barrier free. Large print bulletins are available at the Information Desk. The auditorium is equipped with a hearing loop. If you have a hearing aid, please set it to “T” for better hearing during the service. The best reception is at the center of the auditorium.
