Ø Everyone is encouraged to attend the Community Worship Service in the township park tonight at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Harold will present the message. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. In case of inclement weather, it will be held in our church.
Ø Next week Wed., July 16, will be the Church Picnic. Please complete the RSVP to help those planning the event.
Ø Calling all Christians who would like to publicly proclaim Jesus as their Savior. Faith Friends begins Monday, Sept. 8 and we'd like to get you and a mentor connected and ready to go. Just fill out the forms in the Faith Friends mailbox and return as soon as possible. Contact Lorie DeYoung with any questions or concerns. Remember - we do have an alternative plan for those who would rather go that direction to Profession of Faith.
Ø Do you love working with children ages 5-10? Prayerfully consider becoming a part of Second CRC’s Church School team. You may teach a class alone or as a team. Contact Lorie DeYoung, Head of Discipleship Ministries at 895-7649 or Kristina Moelker, Church School Director at 895-5946.
Ø For you bargain hunters, Kids Hope USA will be having a Backpack Drive in August. Supply lists are on the Information Desk for packing the backpacks with school supplies. Contact Aileen VanderSchuur at 204-3540 if you have any questions.
Ø Nursery Notes & Needs: Jennifer Konyndyk is now the Nursery Coordinator. Needed are 2 teams of 2 people, either a couple or two separate individuals to help check children in and out for morning nursery. If you are willing to volunteer to help in the nursery anytime or to help with signing children in and out, please contact Jennifer at 895-4884 or email johnandjenk@allco.net.
Ø Save your pop cans for Leaders attending the GEMS Leadership Conference later this month. Please put your pop cans in the bin in the lobby or call Rachael Taylor at 895-9414 if you’d like them picked up.
Ø An Outdoor Worship Service is being planned for the evening of July 20. Watch for further information.
Ø Advance Notice: Anyone involved in a ministry at 2nd CRC - particularly a ministry involving minors - if you have not yet attended an Abuse Prevention meeting, please reserve Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 7:00 pm. In order to comply with all the requirements, staff and volunteers must have the signed information on file AND must attend this meeting. If you attended last year, you need not attend again.

For a donation of $100 to Volunteers In Service (chosen by CRWRC to fight poverty locally) you can cycle with the tour from Grand Haven to Grand Rapids on Sat., Aug. 16. Nursery
for infants and toddlers is available during both services. Partway into each
morning service young children are invited to “Just Between” (for 2 ½ - 3
year olds) in room 122 or “Children’s Worship” (for 3-5 year olds) which
meets in rooms 127 & 129.

if used, are available on the
carts in the back of the auditorium. Bibles are there also. Previous
week’s sermons can
be obtained at the Information Desk in CD format or can be accessed at the

needs: The entire facility is barrier
free. Large print bulletins are available at the Information Desk. The
auditorium is equipped with a hearing
