Ø    Kids Hope USA is looking for at least 5 new mentors for this coming school year. It is a great opportunity to make a positive difference for Christ in an elementary school aged child’s life. Training will take place in the Fall. If you are interested or if you would like more information, you can contact Aileen VanderSchuur by phone  (616) 204-3540 or email aileenv@altelco.net

Ø    HELP! Children’s Worship needs a few more “teachers”. If you love 3, 4 and 5 year olds and want to help them grow in the Lord, please contact Sue Brown at 892-4555 or Jerene Schierbeek at 892-4675. This is not a weekly commitment and you don’t need a degree – just love for kids and a willingness to “step out of the box”.

Ø    There is an urgent need for a Sunday School Superintendent (1 or 2 people), Missions Committee (2 people), Worship Planning Team (2-3 people). For details, contact John Worst at 895-5117 or Pastor Harold.

Ask Carol Scholten (895-7497) Elizabeth Vander Ploeg (896-7697) or Lorie DeYoung (895-7649).

Ø    It's Time to go... is the motto of Unity Christian High School's current fundraising campaign which kicked off on May 27.  Unity requests your prayers for this phase which will continue through July 4. This "calling" phase will reach out to 3000 more Unity supporters for financial commitments toward the goal of constructing a new high school facility on 48th Ave.  Pray that people will respond in faith and with passion for advancing the Lord's kingdom through secondary Christian education in Eastern Ottawa County.  Common prayers unite us in spiritual communion with God; may we be prayer warriors seeking God's blessings for the "It's time to go" campaign.

Ø    Please pray for the people of Parkersburg CRC and its community in Parkersburg, Iowa, where 220 homes were destroyed and 6 people were killed in last Sunday's tornado. CRWRC's Disaster Response Services (DRS) have volunteers on site providing spiritual support and formulating plans for further response. Local CRCs have sent teams of volunteers to help with immediate needs. To give to this relief response, mark your check "Spring Storms 2008" and send to 2850 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI  49560; call 800-55-CRWRC; or give online at www.crwrc.org.

Ø    Do you want to enrich and transform your life, your church, and your ministry? You won’t want to miss “In Community,” the Small Group & Evangelism Conference presented by Christian Reformed Home Missions. Join us at the Westin Hotel in Lombard, IL on July 18-20. For registration information, go to www.crhm.org/conference.

Ø    Voices 4 Praise, a Nashville recording gospel quartet, will give a concert Thurs, June 12, at the Central Wesleyan Church in Holland at 7:00 p.m. to benefit survivors in Burma. An offering will be received to help provide safe water for the millions affected in Myanmar (Burma) by Cyclone Nargis. The proceeds will go to International Aid's goal of installing 100,000 HydrAid™ Biosand Water Filters in homes as they are rebuilt.  For details, please visit www.hydaird.org

Ø    The 15th Annual "We Love T.J. & Skylee Sale" will be held June 4-6, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. & June 7 (1/2 off day), 8 a.m -3 p.m. at 12257 - 84th Ave., Allendale. Donations are sold to raise money to remember T.J. & Skylee Sikma and to help a local family adopting internationally. Half of this year’s proceeds will help John & Valerie (Breen) Adrianse of Ada adopt a baby girl from Nepal. The other half will go to the T.J. & Skylee Starr Sikma Memorial Fund which raises money for the Allendale Community Park. Paradise Bound Ministries will receive unsold items. Questions? Call Val Sikma at 895-4539 or download a flyer at http://webpages.charter.net/welovetjandskyleesale/flyer

Ø    Jesus Christ died to save all who believe in Him from their sins. A very true statement, but do you ever wonder, can God really love someone like me? Does he really mean me? Or when I get to heaven is He going to turn me away because of something I’ve done or left undone? Find out on the June 8 Back to God Hour. Go to www.BacktoGod.net for local stations and times.

Ø    Liz has found a racing car in Grandpa’s barn. Can Liz convince Grandpa to let him drive it? Check it out on this week’s Kids Corner. Then email Kids Corner at kids@kidscorner.net for your very own Bible study.

Coopersville Bible Church, 35 Hillcrest St., invites everyone to a pig roast dinner, 4:30 pm, and Voices 4 Praise concert, 6 pm, on Sat., June 7, to celebrate their 60th anniversary of ministry in Coopersville.
