Bulletin for May 4, 2008 |
We
are
very glad you decided to come and worship God here today. Welcome!
We pray that you receive from God what you need today and that you come back
again.
Everyone is invited to stay for refreshments and conversation in the lobby
after the morning service.

Ø Today is the last day for Sunday School this season. In a way we are sad to see the 5th graders leave the early years of the Sunday School program, and yet we are excited that they will be moving on to further learning with catechism and other opportunities. 5th graders, soon to be 6th graders, you will be missed!!
Ø Pop Cans! Pop Cans! Pop Cans! Save your pop cans for GEMS’ Pop Can Fund Drive! Funds will go towards expenses for leaders who will be attending the GEMS Leadership Conference in North Carolina this summer. Please put your pop cans in the trash bin in the lobby at church or if you would like to have them picked up from your house, call Rachael Taylor at 895-9414. The leaders who will be attending the conference are Lonna Driesenga, Sara Ambrose, Rachael Taylor, and Deb Zeinstra. Thank You
Ø There’s been a request to include people’s interests and hobbies in the Second CRC Yellow Pages Directory for congregational members. Forms are available on the table in the lobby. If you have questions about this project, contact Steve or Sara Ambrose (saraambrose@charter.net, 442eman@charter.net or 847-2984).

Ø We still need people to lead stations at Vacation Bible School this year from July 28 –Aug. 1. We MUST have someone to lead Crafts, Games, Drama and Snacks! We have curriculum that spells each of these out in great detail down to the supplies needed and special hints. Without these individuals and teams, VBS cannot happen. We will have an initial meeting in the next couple of weeks! Please contact Sarah Gemmen sgemmen@charter.net or call 616-892-6009 if you are willing to help.
Ø Attention Junior and Senior Highers: Do you find yourself drowsier than usual on Sunday mornings? Are you looking for a way to make the morning message more applicable to your life? Does your bulletin look like a doodle masterpiece? Starting today, a new sermon outline will be available to you. It's the same outline, but with some added info and fun just for teenagers. Pick one up at the Information Desk.
