Ø A Worship Planning Survey has been placed in each mailbox. Please return completed forms to the office. Your responses will be very helpful. Thank you.
Ø Church School will have Spring Break today. Classes will resume next Sunday, the 20th.
Ø Information for the next Second Thoughts newsletter, the May/June issue, is due today. If you have graduation news to share, please pick up a form at the Information Desk. Any other notes of thankfulness, celebration, prayer requests, or ministry happenings you’d like to relay are always welcome.
Ø Vacation Bible School is being planned for July 28 – August 1. Please contact Sarah Gemmen at 901-7677 or at sgemmen@charter.net if you’d like to be a part of planning this exciting ministry.
Ø GEMS: Anyone interested in carpooling to the Big Light Tour on April 19, please meet at church by 8:40 a.m. Please make every effort to be on time so no one gets left behind.
Ø Do you have an interest or talent relating to promotion, publicity, or advertising? Here is an opportunity to use it! The church Council’s Growth Team is interested in forming a group to consider ways Second CRC can outreach to the community. It will be fun to chat over coffee about interesting possibilities. Please contact John Worst today to participate (895-5117). The ball is already rolling!

Ø Today, Apr. 13, Bethany Christian Services is hosting an Open House featuring a "Tent of Hope for Darfur" event from 2- 4:30 p.m. at their offices at 901 Eastern Ave. NE in Grand Rapids. Join refugee families resettled in the Grand Rapids area for food, music, community, learning, and involvement on behalf of the BCS Refugee Foster Care program. Unity’s Education Foundation Scrap Metal Drive will be held May 2 & 3 at the Hudsonville Dept. of Public Works, corner of Balsam Ave. & Oak St. Proceeds will benefit the Foundation and Hudsonville Chr. Schools. The following items will be gladly accepted: metals of any kind, junk cars, farm implements, appliances, other metal objects. Drop-off hours: 12 to 8 p.m. on May 2 and 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on May 3. Questions, call Alden Jelsema at 616-813-5972. Volunteers are needed for this event! for infants and toddlers is available during both services. Partway into each
morning service young children are invited to “Just Between” (for 2 ½ - 3
year olds) in room 122 or “Children’s Worship” (for 3-5 year olds) which
meets in rooms 127 & 129.

if used, are available on the
carts in the back of the auditorium. Bibles are there also. Previous
week’s sermons can
be obtained at the Information Desk in CD format or can be accessed at the
church website: www.2ndcrc-allendale.org.

needs: The entire facility is barrier
free. Large print bulletins are available at the Information Desk. The
auditorium is equipped with a hearing
