Ø The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated this morning and tonight we welcome the Sikma Family who’ll be sharing their musical gifts.
Ø Coffee Break/Story Hour will not meet this week Tuesday.
Ø Next Sunday seven families from our church will be needed to host GVSU students at the Spring Potluck. If you can help, please call Pierce & Ida Roon at 895-6246 or Bill & Mary Espinoza at 895-5251.
Ø Reminder to Kids Hope USA Mentors: Allendale Public Elementary will not have school this Mon. & Tues., Feb. 18 & 19.
Ø Sixteen people will be leaving on Sat., Feb. 23, at 8:00 a.m. from our church to work in Hazard, Kentucky on the Reachout ’08 – Part 1 service project. Read more about it under “Hammering in the Hills.” If you would like to contribute treats to travel baskets for these volunteers, please bring your donations to the church office by Thurs., the 21st, at 4 p.m.
Ø Do you like to cook? Are you crafty? What about Drama or Music? Do you love to play games? How about decorating or advertising? Or maybe you love to tell others about the Good News we have in Christ our Savior. Here is your opportunity to take what you love to do and share it with children! You will only have to do what you love! We need 6 – 10 to be our core team for this year’s Vacation Bible School. Ø Fellowship CRC has a team of eight people going on a serve trip to Haiti this summer to work with our Missionaries Zach & Sharon Segaar-King. The team, four adults and four high school sophomores, will leave June 19 and return June 30. They meet once a month on a Sunday from 11:45 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. for team building, devotions, a meal and orientation details about Haiti. They have begun fundraising. If you are interested in joining this team, please contact Linda Westra at lkwestra@yahoo.com.
Ø Mark your calendars for the All-Church Pinewood Derby and Soup & Salad Dinner on March 28. It is a fund raiser for the Cadets to attend the International Camporee this summer.

Hazard, Kentucky is where 16 of us (there's still room for more) have been called to go and do everything from siding, painting, roofing, wall raising, landscaping and??? Kelly Sizemore, the coordinator, has been very informative and helpful. They have professional contractors and their own tools, so at this point all that is needed from us is our willingness, heart, hammer, gloves, safety glasses and some effort to be His "hands and feet" to our friends in need down in Hazard, Kentucky. We leave this Sat. at 8:00. If you’d like more information or would like to join in the serve project, call Steve & Sara Ambrose at 847-2984. Thanks so much! Ø Allendale Christian School offers 3 and 4 year old preschool classes. Enrollment forms are available at the school office or the school webpage. For more information, contact Sara at 895-5108.
Ø Do you enjoy singing? A Touch of Joy, a Christian contemporary singing group is looking for a bass and a high soprano. They are a non-denominational mixed voice group who loves to praise the Lord with their music. If you would like more information or wish to arrange an audition, please call Kris at 669-0627.
Ø Allendale Christian School will be hosting their 2nd Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on Sat., March 15. This is a double elimination tournament for all 3rd – 8th grade boys and girls. Trophies will be awarded to winning teams at each level and tee-shirts will be provided. The cost is $15 per child and the registration deadline is Feb. 22. Forms are available at the school office or on line at www.allendalechristian.com.
Ø Barnabas Foundation has an opening for an Administrative Assistant in their Grand Rapids office. The ideal candidate will have professional experience, proficient computer skills, and excellent communication skills and enjoy people contact. Minimal travel required. Ø Tornados swept through parts of the Southern U.S. on Feb. 5, leaving more than 500 families without homes. CRWRC-Disaster Response Services is there, helping survivors clear debris, and providing grants for local churches caring for the displaced with shelter, food, water, and clothes. Long-term relief will also be needed. Ø Zeeland Classis has a Ministry Leadership team to encourage classical members to consider entering training for either ordained or non-ordained ministry within the CRC. for infants and toddlers is available during both services. Partway into each
morning service young children are invited to “Just Between” (for 2 ½ - 3
year olds) in room 122 or “Children’s Worship” (for 3-5 year olds) which
meets in rooms 127 & 129.
